Electronic assessment is a key priority of the SACE Board's Strategic Plan 2016-2020. It represents the shift from traditional paper-based methods of examinations, marking and moderation, to enable students to sit electronic exams that match the way they learn in the classroom, and enable teachers to mark and moderate student work online, eliminating the need for the physical transfer of thousands of papers. The first stages of electronic assessment began in 2017.
