The outstanding academic achievements of South Australia's Year 12 students are recognised every year at the SACE Merit Ceremony. The event has been held annually since 1989 and is hosted by the Governor of South Australia at Government House.

Date: 12 & 13 February 2025
Venue: Government House grounds, North Terrace, Adelaide

The event is divided into a series of sessions that run across two days. Attendance is by invitation only. Merit recipients will receive a formal invitation via email in early January 2025, with details of their specific session.

The 2025 SACE Merit Ceremony will be recorded. Videos will be available on the SACE website in the days following the Ceremony which will allow school communities, family and friends who cannot attend the event, to view it. 

Official photographs will be taken on stage at the Merit Ceremony. Photographs will be made available to attendees for purchase.  Photographs can be purchased through SA School Photography following the Merit Ceremony. Details on how to purchase these will be made available in the booklet on the day.
