Professional Learning
Our 2025 Professional Learning & Support plan is designed to elevate the professional development of teachers and leaders within SACE International schools. Tailored to deepen expertise, our programs aim to promote the collective contributions of educators towards enhancing the SACE program.
We believe that supporting teachers in their professional development contributes to our vision of students as thriving learners and ultimately maximises student success.

Event Name: Understanding Moderation and Marking Processes and Preparing for Assessment Submission
Audience: SACE Teachers
When: 12 September, 3.30 pm ACST
Mode: Online via Zoom
Description: This session aims to build general understanding of moderation and marking processes. It will also feature practical information for teachers to support awareness of what is required when submitting materials for assessment.
This session is highly recommended for teachers new to teaching the SACE or those who would like more information on assessment submission requirements.
Event Name: Supporting Student Writing in the SACE
Audience: SACE Teachers
When: 15 August, 3.30pm ACST
Mode: Online via Zoom
Description: This session will offer teachers the opportunity to develop their knowledge and understanding of the key features of academic writing and a range of teaching strategies to support writing in the SACE.
Zoom access link will be emailed once Humantix registration is completed.
Audience: For SACE Coordinators (Southern Hemisphere schools)
When: Tuesday 14 January – Friday 14 February 2025
Mode: Online via Zoom
Description: These sessions aim to provide SACE Coordinators with insightful feedback on the results data from the 2024 Southern Hemisphere Cycle. The session will be an opportunity to discuss areas of overall success as well as provide moderation feedback and further support.
Various session times are available.
** Depending on the number of subjects offered at the school, sessions typically last 30 minutes, with an hour allotted to ensure adequate time for analysis and questions.**

Description: The virtual workshop offers schools a valuable chance to engage, discover and discuss SACE International’s recently launched marketing materials.
The workshop will detail;
- What SACE marketing materials are available to schools
- Brand Guidelines and logo update
- Highlight SACE messaging to inform partner schools marketing activities
Audience: Principals and SACE Coordinators

Mode: Online via Zoom
Description: The SACE Board will share key aspects of the SACE Board Strategic Plan 2024-2027. We invite you to join the conversation about:
- A qualification for a changing world
- Subject renewal
These forums are specifically designed for Principals to maintain a high-level strategic discussion. However, we have allowed for up to 3 attendees from each school, and encourage you to bring your school’s SACE Coordinator.

Description: The StudyAdelaide & SACE International Ambassador program is a joint initiative of StudyAdelaide and the SACE Board to highlight the advantages of Adelaide as a study destination, and showcase pathways and opportunities for SACE students wishing to pursue further education in Adelaide.
The program offers an immersive, educational, and exciting program and is the best opportunity to experience first-hand the vibrancy of Adelaide and what it offers students.
The StudyAdelaide & SACE International Ambassador Program offers an immersive, educational, and exciting program and is the best opportunity to experience first-hand the vibrancy of Adelaide and what it offers students.
Experience Adelaide through activities that showcase the quality lifestyle on offer for students and the many opportunities available to students both during study and after graduation. The itinerary showcases Adelaide’s high-quality education offering, the participants will engage in interactive activities with the SACE Board of South Australia, along with our three public universities (Flinders University, the University of Adelaide, and University of South Australia), TAFE SA, SA Government Schools and many more.
By the end of the program, ambassadors will be equipped with the comprehensive knowledge to share with fellow staff, potential students, parents and become ambassadors of Adelaide and SACE program. They will experience exactly why Adelaide is one of the most liveable cities and preferred study destinations in Australia.

Please nominate one recommended staff member who best meets the criteria below:
1. Has worked within a SACE International school for at least 2 years
2. Counsels current SACE students on University and VET pathways as a part of their role
3. Interested in becoming an Ambassador* for SACE International and StudyAdelaide
4. Can travel to Adelaide on the specified program dates.
The program, content and activities are designed for an ambassador that fits the criteria above, and we would ask that you select based on this, we request that the nominated candidate has not visited Adelaide in the past 5 years and is not an owner, director, or management level within your organisation.

Where: Kindly hosted by Gateway College, Colombo, Sri Lanka
Description: This three-day face-to-face teacher training workshop offers an important opportunity for developing your understanding of teaching the SACE and building strategies for student success. It is a hands-on workshop where you will work with other SACE International teachers and build professional networks.
The workshop ticket is complimentary. Arrangements for travel, accommodation, and other expenses are the responsibility of participating schools/colleges.
Please ensure to check if you require a visa to travel to Sri Lanka. If you require an invitation letter from the host, please specify this upon checkout of your booking.

Description: This three-day face-to-face teacher training workshop offers an important opportunity for developing your understanding of teaching the SACE and building strategies for student success. In this session we:
- consider validity, reliability, and fairness in assessment
- question qualitative judgement making and the comparability of evidence
- critically consider bias in assessment
- discuss emerging technologies and principles of assessment
For those unable to attend the offshore workshops in Malaysia and Vietnam in 2023, participation in this virtual session is highly recommended.

Description: During these 90-minute sessions you’ll connect with a subject matter expert to focus on critical aspects and strategies for success in your subject area. External assessments will be explored and questions, which are populated in the registration process, will be addressed.
